Do you want to make your Sugar Land, Texas, home smell better without buying lots of expensive candles and air fresheners? When you want to create a nice-smelling home environment, a few inexpensive tricks like using dryer sheets and spraying essential oil mixtures can have your house smelling great again.

Simmer on the Stove

If you’ve got a saucepan and some lemons, you can make a kitchen air freshener right on the stove top. Add oranges, cloves, cinnamon, or leaves like lavender, and mint for an even zestier smell. As long as you put something citrus-flavored in the water and simmer the concoction in the saucepan, your kitchen will end up smelling great.

Try Dryer Sheets

Dryer sheets are formulated to get rid of odors and you don’t have to limit your dryer sheet use to the laundry. Hide a dryer sheet in drawers, your closets, and even under your couch cushions. They’ll give off a nice, fresh scent that will cling to the fabric. Your clothes will always smell nice and so will your closet and bureau! You can even try putting them near your vents so the nice smell blows throughout the room.

Create Your Own Room Spray

Put about ten drops of your favorite essential oil, like lavender or peppermint, into a small spray bottle filled with water. This completely natural room spray is free of harsh chemicals and irritants and costs you much less to make. Spray it in the bathroom, the kitchen, or use it to freshen your carpets and couch.

Get HVAC Maintenance

Due to dirty filters, mold, or buildup in your ducts, your AC could be part of the reason your home smells funky. An HVAC technician will clean your coils, change your filter, and fix any other debris that might have built up in your AC unit. Once the service is complete, your AC should be blowing clean, odorless air into your home!
